When it was set up, in 2007, LIGNE DIRECTE’s calling was to draw a transatlantic axis between independent theatre companies in Buenos Aires and theatres worldwide. LIGNE DIRECTE has gradually become an international artist agency.
Since its creation, LIGNE DIRECTE therefore played a key role in helping Argentinian, Italian, Greek, French and Chilean directors and playwrights. Greatly influenced by their productions and creation processes, LIGNE DIRECTE stands by their sides and has a clear mission: finding and providing whatever is necessary for production, distribution, experimentation, translation and publishing purposes, with the ultimate aim to help these artists and their respective universes expand globally and gain international fame.
Over the last fifteen years, LIGNE DIRECTE has promoted and developed the partnerships in France and beyond for Daniel Veronese, Claudio Tolcachir, Federico Leon. Deepening its relation with the independent stages of Buenos Aires, LIGNE DIRECTE engages with the director and playwriter Romina Paula from 2009 and, from 2012 to 2014, also with the directors and playwriters Sergio Boris and Mariano Pensotti.
Since 2009, LIGNE DIRECTE has turned its gaze to the European contemporary theater: up until 2014 LIGNE DIRECTE walks hand by hand with the Italian theater company Motus directed by Enrico Casagrande and Daniela Nicolò. In 2011, the confluence with the Greek theatre company Blitz Theatre Group resolves LIGNE DIRECTE to undertake the production and international circulation of its founders’ work: Yorgos Valais, Angeliki Papoulia and Christos Passalis. In 2014, LIGNE DIRECTE engages in the project « L’Encyclopédie de la parole » to accompany Joris Lacoste’s creations. In 2016, Ligne Directe starts collaborating with Luis Guenel and his company Teatro Niño Proletario to promote the work of the company abroad. In 2018, Ligne Directe distributes the show The Money by Kaleider. SInce 2018 Ligne Directe collaborates on some projects of Mallika Taneja.

For them, LIGNE DIRECTE builds up specific productions and widens the distribution partnership network around the globe in order to ensure the best possible means of production, visibility and reception of their works.
LIGNE DIRECTE has also developed a true savoir-faire in terms of international production and tour management and creation. Sometimes it benefits from the engagement of and working side-by-side with external executive producers.
